The Darklab PowerBolt II+ from FK Irons provides more power than ever for your rotary tattoo machine!

FK Irons has combined the best elements of its PowerBolt II and PowerBolt+ battery packs in this machine, including an extended battery life and a clear screen displaying power, battery level, give and a timer function. It also contains a state-of-the-art motherboard which responds to your way of working, by sensing and adapting for give in real-time.

Darklab's PowerBolt II+ contains a lithium-ion battery with a USB-C connection and Dynamic Power-Path Management, allowing for simultaneous battery charging and power delivery. It charges fast via the included USB-C cable, which requires 3 hours for the first charge and 2 hours thereafter to provide 7-8 hours of power, depending on the voltage and cartridges used.

As well as the clear display screen, the PowerBolt II+ has three buttons: one to turn the battery pack on/off and two to adjust the voltage quickly and easily. Press the up and down arrows to change the voltage in 0.1 or 0.5 V increments/decrements from 4 to 12 V.

The PowerBolt II+ is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing artists to pair it with the Darklab app for voice control, future firmware updates and to enable eGive. You can also pair it with the Darklab Killswitch power switch for ultimate wireless control.

Backwards compatible with all wireless FK Irons machines including the Flux, Flux Max and EXO, this battery pack allows artists to run their rotaries wirelessly without the need for cables or power supplies.

The built-in display screen with three buttons allows artists to view and access the menu, cycle through, and adjust settings without the use of the Darklab app. Menu options include:

• Main power display - in hertz (Hz) or volts (V)
• Secondary power display - with the alternative unit of power than was chosen above
• Voltage setup - show the voltage in 0.1 or 0.5 V increments
• Footswitch - activate Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity for connecting wirelessly with the Darklab
• Killswitch foot pedal, featuring increased range
• eGive - from level 0 (eGive disabled) to levels 1, 2 and 3 (hard, medium and soft hit)
• After adjusting, the unit will sense the tension of the cartridges being used and run an algorithm to ensure the eGive is consistent with the level chosen
• Timer - track your session time (ideal for artists charging by the hour)
• Screen orientation - select either left- or right-hand operation
• Shipping - 'killswitch' the machine to ensure it won't be turned on accidentally when travelling, especially by plane

The PowerBolt II+ offers a voltage range of 4 to 12 V, with the ability to use the machine at 4 V making it perfect for styles such as stippling.
